Planet Shummoor (惑星シャムーア?) is the second planet that the crew of the Astra visits on their trip back home.
Physical Characteristics[]
It appears as a relatively barren planet, covered with some kind of soft moss. The moss is soft enough for a human to sink into.[1] The ground is brown with occasional green vegetation. The sky is pale.[2]
Habitability and Life[]
It has a few edible lifeforms. The major lifeform on this planet are giant mushroom stalks known as Pole Tree that release poisonous spores into the air when they feels threatened.[2] The antidote to the poison spores is a yellow fungi that grows at the base of the Pole Trees. The mushroom will only produce the fungi if a creature is poisoned. Otherwise, the plant will not spontaneously produce flowers only for no one to eat it.[2]
There are also bird-like herbivores that inhabit the planet, which Group B-5 decided to call Gruppies. They are completely tame when encountering the members of Group B-5 despite humans being a whole new species that had probably never set foot on the Gruppies' territory. They are also helpful to the students, carrying them with the food they collected back to the ship. They possess intelligence as they have to be able to recognize the spaceship as the students' destination in order to take them there.[2]
